Sweet

MONTHLY VOL 1 JULY EDITION

I am not much of a dessert yearner. I am more inclined to swill a digestive or perhaps an affogato. Just a symbolic full stop, and to be fair, sweet does do that.

So I have started pre-scooping mini ramekins with the perfect curl of vanilla ice cream (“blue ribbon” curls well, my friend—stylist tip) and setting them in the freezer on a tray. Come the last drinks, I pull them out and drizzle them with VERY GOOD extra virgin olive oil (don’t scrimp here), a quick zest of orange, and a tiny jewel of flake salt.

It’s delightful, surprising, easy, and very “ooooooh” impressive.
